Lord, I pray that you would watch over me and my loved ones today. That you would would be exalted through the people and things you give us to see and to do. That you would work in us as we interact with family and friends for the benefit of your Kingdom. Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, please help us to overcome any struggles we may face with the enemy, and be victorious.

Jesus, I love you and am thankful for your love for me and my loved ones. Please keep us safe. In Your Precious Name, Amen...

I want to be a peacemaker

17But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
18Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

James 3

Had a wonderful weekend...20th high school reunion...I had wonderful times spent catching up with old friends ...and with my very best friends, Stacey, Adam and Melinda. What a great group we have. And too, despite some of my own insecurities that God was working 'in me' on (Jamie knows), I was praying that God would shine through me to those around me there. Also, that he would let me love those around me well.
Thank you Jamie for accompanying me to the Saturday party - you were a great date :o)

Also had a chance to surf yesterday (Sunday) ...and I really enjoyed myself, even though it was difficult. I feel "clean" today from the ocean's pounding.
This morning David Jeremiah had a wonderful message...and here this morning the Chirstian Surfer's devo was also a good remindeer about how God pursues us...and we can pursue others.

"As a surfer, you know the experience of that unplanned, unexpected surf mission. The swell came out of nowhere, you got off work expectedly early and the wind is laying down. As you load the car to blast down to your favorite surf spot you go through your mental checklist. Board? Check! Wetsuit? Check! Towel (to dry off-- but more important, to change modestly)? Check! Leash? Whoa, wait...where did it go? It's not on your board, is it? Some wise-guy surfer told you a while back that wrapping your leash around the board's tail creates undue wear and tear, so you keep it detached and it's...somewhere. And that "somewhere" is lost.
The clock is now ticking, the sun is setting, and you are sweating because the garage is getting turned upside down...in your desperate search. And it reminds you of something Jesus said, or rather a story Jesus told. You can find it in Luke 15. When some disgruntled religionists needed to know what God is really REALLY like, Jesus tells a story (three stories in one actually) about who He is.A God who is on a search. He does outrageous things, like leaving ninety nine sheep for a stray. Or ripping a house apart to find a single coin. Or patiently waiting as a Dad who would long for a wayward child to finally come home. The search is desperate and all encompassing but there's a celebration in the end, for sure! And He's asking you to join Him in the search for those he loves. On the sand, in the lineup and anywhere a surfer like you might tend to go....
So when we go on the search, we reflect His heart."

My daily mission...

"Do all the good you can by all the means you can in all the places you can at all the times you can to all the people you can as long as ever you can"-John Wesley

Thank you Jesus for the will to do so. Amen.

Wisdom that is peace loving

Am off today...enjoying relaxing at home this morning...

Thinking about peace...

17But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.
